2007. Nice brown-red looking with a small greyish head that leaves some pretty damn crazy lazing all over the glass. Aroma is very complex and quite funky with neat "sour barrel" notes, cherrys and sour apples, fruitsugars and a light lactic note. The body is light to medium and extremely slick, a struggle not to simply swallow this. Flavour is funky barrel, sour fruit, all sorts of berries and a nice wooden finish with notes of apples, orange peel and redwine like berry fruityness. No sign of the high ABV, great.

Wine lovers rejoice! This beer poured a cloudy light red-brown with a decent head and lasting fringe. Aroma was oaky and dry with a bit of something tart like cherries? Flavor was very oaked almost corky and very very dry like what I imagine a good wine to taste like. With a bit of something earthy/funky maybe? Very unique and enjoyable.

12oz bottle. Pours a medium dark brown with a faint red hue. The head was beige in color and about 2 fingers thick and left a bit of spotty lacing. Nose had some dried fruits, lots of oak, and some Belgian yeast funk. Reminded me of a few of the Jolly Pumpkin brews I’ve tried......solid.

Pours a murky brownish red/ ice tea color. Huge boozy alcohol nose (almost to the point that it decongested my nostrils), with a very sweet caramel aroma. Has some flavor indicative of a sour yet has a candy apple coating flavor as well. Some cherries and dark fruit. Almost a mix between a quad and a sour. Stunning

2007 bottle. Pours a brown color with nice head. Lots of fruit, candy sugar, toasted malt, wild yeast, and sour cherries. Kinda like a mix between belgian strong and a sour. Really good.

2008 vintage. Pours a deep dark red. Cherries, oak, tequilla, candy sugar, moxie root beer, and a sour wild yeast nose. Sour ale, and sour cherry flavor taste to start. It then turns to a very clean red wine, even in the nose! Awesome! The subtle hint of cloves as well. Nice warming alcohol. A lovely sour!

Pours a deep mahogany. Aroma is of molasses, cherries, dried fruit. Medium body. Taste is first very sweet malt followed by an intense sour, smoky finish. Wow! How did they do that. Excellent. I need more time to review this one.

2006 vintage bottle from Max’s in Baltimore. Where to begin. . . Pours a nice ruby red/brown color with a thick white head. Aroma is sour cherries, tannin, malt caramel, toffee dark fruit. So much going on here. Flavor was equally as complex, some nice fruit, malt notes on the front end, leading into a perfect balance of sour and tannin. I did not want this beer to end.
