Dirty gold in color with a huge clean head and soapy lace. Dusty, green apple sour notes on the nose. Rich carbonation but tart apples give way to a malty sweet balance that really makes this beer crisp and refreshing.

Fruity, celeryish aroma with a lot of caramel and some fruity (cherry?) notes. Cloudy golden orange with a nice off-white head. Sharp, slightly sour well balanced with a malty cherry cola middle flavor and a great dry finish. Great caramel malt base. So flavorful and interesting. Hight carbination, very lively with a crisp, dry finish. Big thanks to MrFacto for sharing this one.

Pours a murky golden color, nice sized off white foamy head, good lacing and cool designs. The aroma is very pleasent with apples, cherry, not too much sour but enough to make itself known, a little hay/barnyard to it as well. Flavor is perefctly balaned. I mean its really incredible. I’m not a fan of sour beers, but this one has such a balance between the sour and sweeter fruity notes. Cherries make a large prescense, as well as other dark fruits and sweetnesses. Very Very Good.

Blessfully enjoyed at the Tosa YeHA 2005 and much thanks to Matt for sharing this beer and after tasting it, I still want more and am leaving it on my wish list!

The appearance is not honestly much to look at, murky brown with a frothy off-white head and okay lacing. The nose had detected a wonderful combination of brett and belguim farmhouse yeast esters, cherry like tartness, bready malting, oaky and corky aromas as well. The taste starts sour (cherry) and funky (cheesy) but was nicely balanced by some wheat-like and malt sweetness and a long lasting earthy wood finish. Also detected some richer ripened fruit (apricot and strawberry) floating on and about. The feel is dry and grainy with a yeasty chewy component, only lightly puckering. OUTSTANDING BEER and am so glad to have tried it.

Semi-murky and yellow-brown in color with a sheaf on the head that’s in the shape of a crying wolf. Bygones. Caramel indentation shudders at the searing sour corsair that pulls at rhubarb, squished cherries, nectarine extract and caramel dipped ripe pears for a formidable aromatic clinic. Sugary sourness flavor profile is balanced like no other. Caramel underscores suspend the tart accentuations, elevating pinot and chardonnay grape skins and then whisking them away from their brethren. Oranges and nectarines serve as complimentary citric magic makers, but don’t distract from the cohesive character that’s at work here. Toffee encapsulating lemon drops comes to mind. So do the words "fantastic" and "thank you, MrFacto."

Thanks Matt! Pours to a nice brown body. I got the yeast shot. Ah well. The aroma is sour and Flemish. Sorta along the lines of the Panil beer. Cherries and oak. Very balanced. The flavor is a really good Flemish Sour ale. Tart and medium-full bodied. Very good.

I recently managed to find two bottles of this one locally and to say I’m psyched would be an immense understatement. Pours a molasses color which is not what I’m used to seeing in a sour. Smells of oak barrels, red cherries, tarte buttery rasberries and sour wine vinegar. Tastes sugary with string cherry and resberry tarte notes and a big vinegar finish. Excellent thick mouthfeel that lasts for an eternity.
