| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Dec 18, 2007 This golden-amber ale poured with a massive off-white head, eliciting a sharp fruity aroma. Since the head did not show any signs of dissipating, I sipped it off the top until I reached the liquid. The beer is initially bitter, but the candy sugar eventually creates a sweeter flavor followed by a hoppy bitter finish. This is a very complex brew that would certainly benefit from aging. daniele (1728), Italy

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 8, 2007 33cl bottle, 2006 vintage, rated Dec. 7, 2007. Hazy honey-amber with a massive white head that climbed out of the bottle and glass. The aroma was somewhat sour at first, but this faded and yeast started to dominate along with honey and alcohol. At first, the alcohol was very well hidden in the flavor, only making itself known in the throat after swallowing, but farther in it started to be more pervasive, although never too distracting. Sweet citrus and peach flavors as well, with lots of spicy yeast, and a bitter finish that keeps it surprisingly light feeling for the strength. The body has plenty of carbonation, but it softens noticeably. Also a little sticky, though not too thick. Enjoyable, but a little over the edge with the alcohol flavors toward the end for me to really like it a lot. downender (2609), Bristol, Gloucestershire, England
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 8, 2007 330ml bottle. Murky toffee colour with an off-white head and some floaters. Aroma of honey, cinnamon, floral hops and yeast. The flavour had plenty of candy sugar and spice with a slightly bitter finish. Perhaps the alcohol was a bit too pronounced. Enjoyable.
