Yves (773), Beerse, Belgium Jun 1, 2009 A blond coloured beer slightly hazy, a small white head and few carbonation. A strong spicy aroma (cinamon?) Full palate sparkling a bit. Finish is sweet bitter treating the tongue with a nice tickling feeling. Very good one. Wim (1121), Turnhout, Belgium Jun 1, 2009 hazy gold blond coloured body with a sparkling white head a spicy herby yeasty aroma a spicy yeasty herby fruity taste with a sweet alcholic bitter finish nice one LordCorkscrew (837), Ronco Scrivia (GE), Italy May 12, 2009 Buona ! dai non è che sia sto capolavoro, ma è ben speziata, lo zenzero ci sta piuttosto bene, ed è bilanciata così si lascia bere bene! Bella Fre SSSteve (1891), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Apr 25, 2009 clear gold under a lively fizzy white head with lots of carbonation bubbles. fresh, herbal, crisp, vanilla, aroma. flavor is cool minty, vanilla. leaves your mouth feeling clean and refreshed like some kind of minty chewing gum or toothpaste. drinkable and not too focused on the ginger but it’s definitely there. Pinball (2068), Allerød, Denmark Feb 8, 2009 33cl bottle. swap with plovmand.
this one is BBF june 2008, sampled february 2009, but no signs at all it’s too old.
hazy golden with some yeast, small white head.
aroma is slightly citrussy, also a bit spicy.
flavor is slightly citrussy, or perhaps honey and flowery, ginger. JPDIPSO (4661), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA Jan 8, 2009 Cloudy straw color with a tallish white head. Sweet ginger and pale malt scents. Some light brown sugar notes as well. LIght pale malt start. Nearly a light lager start. Light ginger kicks in, not as sharp as most ginger brews. I find this very balanced for a light ginger brew. Fairly dry in the finish and linger. Just a bit of earthy malt left to warder about. Fukito (604), Buenos Aires, Argentina Dec 1, 2008 Bottle, october 08. Slightly hazy yellow/golden color with some floaties and a small white head. Spicy aroma, some honey and slightly mineral notes. Flavor is spicy, very sweet with a weird citric-acid note at the end. Sweet aftertaste. Sweetness just receeds at the brink of being cloying. Medium palate, lots of flavor going but not harmonious. Rather unbalanced and not easy to drink. Weird, spiced, sweet belgian ale. thornecb (1575), Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA Oct 13, 2008 Pours bright gold into a tulip. Fluffy white head recedes to hug rim. Dusty peach aromas. Sweet caramel upfront with a dry, lasting pit fruit finish.
