Lovely beer for a summer evening but be careful. It is stronger than it feels like. Papsoe (14904), Frederiksberg, Denmark

And -atypically- it’s a ginger beer. Very beautiful, amber colour, hazy with a large amount of yeast-sediment. But it’s the completely massive head that leaves the biggest impression. It stands an inch high in the glass and never disappears completely. Unusually welldone. Ginger beer can be a mixed delight, but this might be the best I’ve ever had. The ginger adds a piquant edge to an already good ale. High carbonation. 010203 jbrus (4859), Delft, Netherlands

Very fruity aroma: sweet citrus and apple. Golden color, white head, good lace. Sweet, fruity, ginger, light bitter. Medium body, little sticky, warming and soft. I’s quite ’flowery-spicy’ though. Hazy, orange coloured with a creamy, off-white lasting, thick head. Quite good lookin’. Again much ginger in taste. initially sweet and bitterness evolves towards the finish. Slightly metalic and watery. Not really fantastic.
