| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jun 18, 2007 On tap @ Chez Moeder Lambic. Cloudy lemon-yellow with thick, cottony, white head. Gorgeous appearance. Aroma is sweet honey, floral and herbal, like lemongrass, orange peel, and yeah, that could be ginger. Flavor is cloying, medicinal herbal and spicy, with a mildly juicy center of lemon and faint ginger. Hops added some needed dimension toward the finish line, and the beer ends dry and piney with noticeable alcohol. Mouthfeel is lively and fairly dry. Interesting and complex, the only major turn-offs were the medicine and alcohol elements. Could be a great match with recipes that use ginger and lemon. yespr (12021), Copenhagen O, Denmark

Strong aroma of ginger and estery yeast; touches of lemon and dough. Banana, yeast and ginger which shines trough now and then. Well-balanced finish of yeast, spices and ginger with sweet undetones of oranges. One of the best ginger bbers I’ve sampled, only beaten by Dark Star Winter meltdown. thebeertourist (2777), Oslo, Norway
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 21, 2007 Bottle. Hazy golden with a big creamy head and a lot of sediment, too. Refreshingly spicy aroma- ginger seems to work very well. Flavours are more of the same- the sweetness is nicely paired and the result is a very refreshing beer. Warming alcohol. I never thought I would rate a spiced beer so highly. maxbeer (118), Italy
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 7, 2007 [bottle] Clear golden colour; aroma is a bit yeasty-spicy with some bread crust. In the mouth it is sweet, a bit spicy, with some ginger coming out in the finish. The ginger spiciness is subtle; it can be considered as a good (but not exceptionally outstanding) triple Jukkabro (3008), Tampere, Finland
