The aroma is light and refreshing, with some honey, coconut, and mango tones. The ginger is quite apparent, but the mouthfeel is creamy and yeasty enough to take it all in and balance it out. Mild grapefruit notes as well, but not in the overbearing Cascade way, more in a sugary mellow dessert way. Impressive in that it maintains a nice mouthfeel and dangerously sessionable taste, while fully displaying the Ginger flavor as well. Exceptional balance. A great beer, a ginger lover’s dream come true. Kåstå (1149), Mol, Belgium

Smells like ginger ale with a hint of lemon. Tastes somewhat similar but sweet with a touch of honey. Very mild for it’s abv, fizzy with slight sediment. Enjoyable JoeinUccle (902), Brussels, Belgium
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jun 18, 2007 On tap @ Chez Moeder Lambic. Cloudy lemon-yellow with thick, cottony, white head. Gorgeous appearance. Aroma is sweet honey, floral and herbal, like lemongrass, orange peel, and yeah, that could be ginger. Flavor is cloying, medicinal herbal and spicy, with a mildly juicy center of lemon and faint ginger. Hops added some needed dimension toward the finish line, and the beer ends dry and piney with noticeable alcohol. Mouthfeel is lively and fairly dry. Interesting and complex, the only major turn-offs were the medicine and alcohol elements. Could be a great match with recipes that use ginger and lemon.
