Sweet with not even a hint of alcohol. I don't like ginger (=gember), but it fits with this beer and it is not annoying. Clean palate. Still not a beer I would buy more often. It smells remarkably perfumey. Almost like floral gums. There’s a definite floral scent that is great as you’re taking a sip. The taste is perfumey as well, although it doesn’t spoil the ginger flavour that’s subtle. The alcohol content is much higher than you’d expect when tasting. Loooong finish. The palate is really full and makes for a fine drinking experience. thewolf (5792), Kolding, Denmark

[thank you, Yespr]
Pours a hazy pale yellow with a slight green hue. A fine, lightly white creamy head. Good lacing. Aroma is sweet, lots of ginger. Okay mouthfeel. Flavour is soft, lightly tart, good ginger. Much like a Saison. Magicdave6 (5546), London, Greater London, England

Alround rating: Giner, woody, pine, yeasty, sweetish, the typical belgian fruity esters and relitivly balanced and quite drinkable. duff (5475), Surrey, Greater London, England

I don’t really like ginger beers, but this one was OK, definite ginger flavour, mixed with some lemon rindy type flavours and some Belgian yeastyness, touch of alcohol in the finish, it was OK. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 25, 2003 Dark blond. Flimsy head, rather stable however. Nose: first feta-herbs, then outspoken ginger, like preserved (Japanese sushi-)ginger. Some candi-sugar.
Taste gives ginger again. Retronasal very outspoken liquorice flavour, some tart bitterness overlying on malts.
Mouthfeel is rather thin, but the spiceyness beefs it up.
Aftertaste: the ginger keeps overpowering.
Overall not bad - it's a real try at something different. ThomasE (5178), Copenhagen, Denmark
