a sim rate: Very strong flavour. Very tart triple. Tastes like buttery alcoholic bliss. Nice and tart.

Fruity sweet and boozy aroma. Opaque browned apple colour with generous, dense, off white head that laces. Fruity, strong, boozy flavour with some light spiciness. Medium-light body with airy, collapsing texture in the mouth. Moderately warming. Bottle sampled at GBBF 2005.

33 cl bottle, bbe Sep 06. Light amber with an orange shine, slightly hazy, rich frothy head. Hoppy, just a bit ’watery’ aroma with pepper and caramel. Dry and bitter, potent taste with alcohol, yet with good fruity freshness in the background. Juicy palate, refreshing.

4 Jun 2005 - (HOP 2005) - Lovely sweet stone fruit aroma. Cloudy light orange-brown colour, sudsy head and lacing could be better. Luscious fruit and hoppy complex flavours. Tangy finish with a thickish mouthfeel.

Bottle at GBBF 05. Spicy, dry, wheaty aroma. Ditto for the flavour + some sweetness and warmth on the finish. Thick, fizzy mouthfeel. Reasonably good actually, though perhaps too cloying.

Bottled - GBBF 2005. A hazy custard coloured beer with a nice white head and good lacing. The aroma was massive spices, lemons and yeast. The taste had more spices - coriander and pepper. A really good full-bodied tripel.

GBBF 2005. Cloudy banana flesh colour. Medicinal hop aroma with bugglegumy banana. Good weiss one of my favourites from this festival. Re-rate. Sorry why did I say that this was a weiss? This is an excellent tripel. I’ve enjoyed the 3 de graal beers. they have that something special. This has some tangy tangerine/orange zest with yeast and hops on nose. Syrupy orange zest in mouth before attack of hops. Good beer

Darker gold in colour. High carb with a light white head. Big pepper ester aroma with some alcohol notes. Mild malts in the background too. Sweet cane sugar, mild caramel toffee. Fruity mid with a pepper finish. Suprisingly sticky feel. Not bad.
