BelgiskOlklub (397), Viby J, Denmark Nov 13, 2006 Updated: Aug 28, 2007Thin white head, orange color and a bit of small sediment. Lightly bitter and medium sweetness. Alcohol in the finish. An OK triple. Augustijn55 (82), Izegem, Belgium Oct 5, 2006 Bottle, 33 cl. Dark yellow color with a white head. Aroma of yeast, some caramel malt. Taste is sweet, bitter + dry. Good triple Ungstrup (14754), Frederiksberg, Denmark Sep 27, 2006 A hazy orange beer with a thick off-white head. The aroma is powerful, sweet, spicy, fruity (especially peaches) and alcoholic. The flavor is very sweet and very both fruity and spicy, the fruits are mostly peaches, while the spices are primarily cinnamon, coriander, and cloves. The alcohol makes the body thick, and prickles the tongue. Jerre (1755), Waregem, Belgium Sep 2, 2006 Cloudy, yellow coloured with a decent head. Aroma of yeast, some caramel malt Taste is sweet, bitter slightly dry. Caramel malts, spice and citrus. Decent triple. yngwie (4880), Kristiansand, Norway Jun 21, 2006 Updated: Apr 15, 2008Bottle, thx to thewolf. Pours a hazy, golden-yellow body with lots of small and chunky floaties and an off-white head. Fruity nose with pale malt, spice notes and citrus. Pale malt, citrus, bitter and spiced flavor with some ginger. Quite dryish. Full body and a bitter finish. Pleasant beer, but I find the big chunks of sediments a bit unappetizing. Rating: 6-4-6-4-14-3.4. (080301)
Bottled. Yellow-orange, hazy tripel with a white head. Citrus, yeast, fruits, cellar and some spicey hops in the aroma. Light cellared in the mouth, with citrus and spices. Medium body and a finish starting sweet, but getting more bitter in a while. Quite pleasant. (060518) Storm (2685), Amager, Denmark Jun 2, 2006 Bottle. Golden hazy colour with a great head. Very fruity aroma of sweetness, fruit and ginger. Flavour of spices, yeast and ends up very dry and bitter. Papsoe (14642), Frederiksberg, Denmark May 28, 2006 (Bottle 33 cl) Pours orangey golden with a slight haze and a thick, creamy head leaving a neat lacework. Full-bodied with distinct notes of ginger - as if this was a wrong labelling of their Gember beer. Somewhat medicinal touch. Dry, hoppy finish. Spicy nose. 190506 duff (5474), Surrey, Greater London, England Apr 29, 2006 Bottle. Slightly alcoholic aroma, smells a bit raw. Palate is quite spicy, peppery, with typical Belgian yeasty acidity that you expect in these tripels, probably a touch too much alcohol noticed in the finish.
