| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 6, 2009 Bomber from Forest City. Pours gold with a nice fluffy-white head. Aroma of esters, yeast, and candi sugar. Smooth palate with prickly carbonation supports flavors of lemon, flowers, and yeast primarily, with gentle hoppy qualities. Goes down smoothly, with a refreshingly bitter aftertaste. This is not the most dynamic beer out there, but it is superbly balanced and true to style. Poured out a hazy, strawberry blonde color, with a huge frothy white head. Aromas are of corriander, cardamom, ginger, other baking spice, sweet malts, slight whiff of alcohol. Flavors are of spices, slight yeast, sour oranges, lemon peel, sweet malts, some alcohol. Rich mouthfeel, slick and oily. Finished somewhat dry and tangy. Carbonated well, but not too much. Perfect example of the style. Seek it out if you can. Defreni (1027), Frederiksberg, Denmark

Smagen har en kant af krydderier, jeg ikke kunne bestemme indtil konen kaldte den for frys-selv-is. Ellers udemærket men ikke superophidsende. Lunkie (1020), Glen Iris, Australia

Gorgeous and cloudy yellow-orange with white, lasting head. Aroma of oranges, alcohol, and pine, which makes me think of gin. Somewhat sweet flavor with alcohol and herbs--tastes evergreen. Medicine. Faint citrus. The alcohol flavor is just too strong, leaving the beer way out of balance.
