21st July 2008. Cloudy ornage amber beer, Not much carbonation. Soft palate. Peach and orange flavours with a rich malt that has a bit of tea in it. A bit different and very drinkable.

1l bottle bought at the brewery. Very celar and flat beer. A somewhat watery rotten-like sweetish smell with hints of candy, rose flowers abd some hoppiness. Watery beer with some hoppiness and a nasty sourness. Like drinking a flat hell. I’m hoping I had a damaged beer but I’ve tried their other brews and they all have the same general character. Not a nice beer.

Dangerously delicate & refreshing for a beer of 6.5%. On the nose light spice & malt, & a pure gold in the glass. The palate is rounded with hints of perfume, spice & malt with a delicate sweetness. The finish is clean & fresh with a nice bitter dryness. The weight In the mid palate gives a slight sense of the strength, but the delicate style & fresh clean, dry finish makes this a great summer beer. Is it too expensive? probably

(swing top bottle, purchased at the brewery) Almost clear, deep golden colour with a short creamy white layer. Sweet (cara-)malty and nutty aroma with flowery hoppy notes and loads of spices (anise, coriander). Toast-malty and distinctively nutty taste with light spicy notes. Medium-dry, sweet-bitter, slightly toasty and nutty finish with hints of flowery hops and light spicy notes (06.I.09).

Bottle: A bit unclear, small lacy white head; caramalt, toasted malt, some hops and coriander in the nose; quite light bodied for abeer of 6.5%; moderate, almost solid bitter-sweet flavour; slightly lingering, spicy (coriander) and nutty finish. Pleasant and good..........
