The better one from the Hemel brewery. 1l bottle bought on location. Beautiful clear, dark-copper-coloured beer. No carbonation. The smell is hopelessly watery. Strain to find hints of spices, mainly pepper. The taste is well-balanced with a warm basis. Some fruitiness, mainly peaches and green grapes which gives character, albeit slightly rotten-like.

Bottle. Bought @ the BierBuik, Nijmegen. Pours a light amber with a fine, creamy white head. Aroma is spicy and slightly sweet. There are tones of cardemum, cinnamon and lots of ginger. A little low carbonation and quite creamy. Flavour is primarily based on caramel with a little hops and nice spicyness at the back. Nice, but un-eventful BSA.

Orange coloured. Taste: tangerine and orange(peel)s, spicy. Quite nice, well balanced. The alcohol is well hidden

Drunk in De Blaauwe Hand, Nijmegen!! (NL) This worked for me. Didn’t look as red as the name might suggest, but tasted the part. Very subtle taste, really didn’t taste like an 8% beer. Nice

Cloudy amber w. small head. Sweet, very fruity (peach, apricot), spice (coriander, little ginger, some pepper in the finish), nice bitterness. Medium to full body.

Pale orange colour, some UFO's, thin white head, lacey. Nose: oups - dishwater. Some overpowering smell of a herb, no idea which one. Valerian leaves/cat's pee as well. Taste is not that bad, faint spicey. Coriander, citrus (mandarinePEEL) and that other spice (galanga root, maybe?) Medium filled, some faint oily mouthfeel (~root spices). Kind of one-dimensional, heavy on the spices. But I really cannot get any more negative without being dishonest. It has its merits.

(Dutch indoor ratebeer maraton) Fruity (mandarins) and pepper aroma. Very full and balanced. Hazy, orange/brown coloured with a white and lasting head. Taste is fruity (mandarins), sweetness and some spices. Bitter in the end. Very good brew.

Bottle@Home. Great complex aroma, peppery, fruity, ripe apple, tangerine. Hazy, orange/amber color, white head, good lace. Fruity, sweet, light peppery, hint of caramel. Could use some body and stronger flavors.
