BoBoChamp (1334), Gent, Belgium Aug 31, 2008 25cl, from De Hopduvel Gent, easy to drink, not complex, yet balanced, clear, small head, nice brew, refreshing ogivlado (3036), Zagreb, Croatia Aug 30, 2008 Bottled(300ml). -Clear amber coloured, medium sized white head, dusty malty nose. Malty, weak hoppy, spicy and mild fruity taste with notes of yeast and caramel, but overal quite thin beer. The worst of 5 beers I’ve tried in Zotte, Amsterdam. phishpond417 (1861), Madison, Wisconsin, USA Aug 28, 2008 Sampled on draught: Pours a slightly cloudy orange colour with a full white head. Aroma is wheaty, yeast and grass. Mildly grass on the palate, little bit of berry flavor. Pretty average brew overall. Swalden28 (1439), McKinney, Texas, USA Aug 27, 2008 Bottle from Kegs & Barrels in McKinney, TX. Pours a copper with orange hue, beige head, sediment floating around. Aroma of apple notes and malt. Taste is good, nice malty back bone, semi sweet, slight fruity tang, yeasty, slight bitter. Mouth feel is light-medium body with high carbonation.....not bad. Borresteijn (1347), Amstelveen, Netherlands Aug 19, 2008 On tap @ De Geuzen. Copper/amber colour, white head. Aroma of malts, yeast and caramel. Flavour is malty sweet, with a yeasty bitter finish. Some metallic notes. Dry mouthfeel. OK amber. Mielosa e caramellosa quanto le si addice ma con meno sentore cerealicolo che la Palm. mmmbeer (737), Austin, Texas, USA Aug 15, 2008 11.2 oz. bottle poured into tumbler- poured transparent copper tan, medium carbonation of tiny bubbles, white ring around the glass for a head that laced some. Aroma of a caramel malt, honey, and lillies (?). Hits the mouth with a high-lower end body, malt has a odd character to it- it kind of doesn’t want to be noticed but it’s there, acidity from hops on the finish. Odd one. Angeloregon (2024), Portland, Oregon, USA Aug 14, 2008 Bottle from Gravity in Olympia, WA--Poured a hazy gnarley red, thin body. Mild fluffy biege head. Sticky, malty, cardboardy. Nothing special, but ok. I wouldn’t go out of my way to find this beer again.
