Tasted 25/02/2008. 25cl bottle from Rumble’s, Wellington. Pours amber, as per the label description. Bright, with a lacy diminishing white head. Aroma is very reminiscent of a Vienna malt, biscuity, vogel’s grainy bread, toasted sweet buns. A little floral hop and some orange. Unfortunately this one is also showing some oxidised notes. Sweet bready malt in the mouth, with a mild herbal hop finish. Pretty simple. A very faint whiff of spice on the palate - or is that just the vietnamese coleslaw. Goodish, though a fair bit past its best.

25 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden amber/deep orange with a little white head. Light roasted malt aroma, light berry fruity note. Flavour is mild berry fruity with a solid, towards light metallic, malt base. Medium dry flavour. Light bitterness into the finish with more of the same metallic malt note.

On draft at Teresa’s Next Door. Poured light reddish-brown with thin lively head. Sweet malts dominate the flavor. Thin and fizzy on the tongue.

350 ml bottle courtesy/share with Naka. Pours caramel red with small, cream, khaki head. Slightly hazy. Good ol’ caramel nose, hint of some raisin and apple. Big brown sugar, caramel and molasses flavors. A touch of apple at the end. Thin and watery. Mild hop bitterness. Nice and smooth.
