Grovlam (3790), Copenhagen, Denmark May 31, 2007 Average off-white fizzy head that mostly diminished. Fair lacing. Amber colour with a clear sparkling body. Light caramel, hint of hops, light yeast and somewhat barnyard notes. Some fruity notes can also be detected. Light bodie with a lively carbonation and light dry texture. Light bitter flavour with balanced sweetness. Light dry and bitter hops finish. Braudog (3733), Dayton, Ohio, USA May 30, 2007 Updated: Oct 11, 2007My bottle has "10/07/04" on the back, and I wasn’t sure if this was in the European style (ie, July 4, 2010), or American (ie, Oct 7, 2004), and if the latter whether that was a bottling date or best by date. The place I bought this from hasn’t even been open a year yet, so it’s all perplexing. As I pour, I suspect this is old ... muddy and extremely heavily sedimented, with a sour aroma, this just feels old. It’s earthy, somewhat bubblegummy, but extremely thin bodied, despite the chunky persona. Me thinks I was robbed. I’ll try again. Discount my rating for now. <<Re-rate from draft, Falling Rock Taphouse, 10/10/07 ... much better. Tea-colored with a thin top, this may not be the freshest keg, but it still drinks well. Sweet with a hint of the sourness that really came out in my 3-year old bottle. Thin body and I struggled to get past the tea analogy, even in the flavor. Upgraded a bit. >>(#2943, 5/30/2007) DirtyMartini (194), Los Angeles, Alabama, USA May 30, 2007 featured all the yeasty/spiciness you expect from something from belgium...as well, it had a earthy/woodsy flavor i would guess come from the hops. easy drinking beer but nothing i would go out of my way for. average. mhelgason (495), Charlotte, North Carolina, USA May 17, 2007 Tap-served in De Koninck glass. Barely there white head with decent lacing. Clear amber body. Aromas of light spicy/peppery, bubble gum, light earthiness, and some hops. Flavor is lightly sweet with touch of bitterness. Gr0ve (1382), Oslo, Norway May 15, 2007 330 ml bottle. Crystal clear reddish copper colour. Small fine-laced head. Woody and slightly grassy aroma. Northern Brewer hops maybe? High carbonation level leaves a prickly sensation. Slightly nutty flavours, but the lack of sweetness and a drying hop flavours makes the beer feel light. High clean hop bitterness. Refreshing, but with quite a bit of Belgian character. I believe I have tried this beer unfiltered before and remember it as having much more character and also a little cloudy. This version feels just too clean and very industrial. Tmoney99 (4652), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA May 8, 2007 Bottle from River’s Bend. Poured clear dark amber with a moderate frothy off-white head that lasted with good lacing. Moderate yeasty fruity aroma. Medium body. Medium complex tart citrus flavor with a medium tart citrus finish of moderate duration. Intereting brew. oberabcbbsok (686), Hoboken, Belgium Apr 28, 2007 A good beer although i do not drink it so often anymore. Now I prefer stronger and more tasty beers. Avatar (82), Gliwice, Poland Apr 22, 2007 Bottled and from tap. Right in Antwerp, also in the brewery. Sometimes refreshing, sometimes I hardly enjoyed it. Not bad, but also nothing special.
