Smells sour sweet and yeasty, and tastes the same as well, with a little bit of a raisin flavor. Finishes very dry, and even that quality leaves quickly. Thin, medium-high carbonation. A nice and relaxing beer. bertus (4), Netherlands does not count | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 17, 2006 A nice Belgium Amber Ale. Typical Belgium yeast smell. Sometimes a little bitter or even sour. Very drinkable! theodor (12), Son en Breugel, Netherlands

It is a bid a cherry/Madeira flavor wich is specific for the brewery. The beer has a beautiful amber color wich comes out very nice in the glass. The only disadvantage is that the beer not allways has the same quality. brewgirlca (57), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 17, 2006 Bottle. Poured a deep off white head that stayed for quite some time. Pretty peachy-red color and clear. Deep earthy tones and some ripe fruit - a bit overmuch for style. Spicy Halertaeur background hops. Flavour is of light toast, fairly rich but could be softer. Bitterness perhaps just a tad too high but the perception of dryness could also be from the phenols, which although pleasent in their flavour are off a bit in their dryness. Pleasent low hop flavour of earthy Euro hops, would have prefered more floral or grassy. As has been stated elsewhere this is a good palate cleanser when on a Belgian binge but I would not really call it session beer due to a number of minor flaws which all add up to a less than pefect drinking experience. robertjm (401), El Cerrito, California, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Oct 14, 2006 light bodied belgian ale. Wonderful scent. Head was nothing special. Carbonation was low, with sparten tiny bubbles. At first didn’t think too much of it. A little bit of room temperature helped, though its still not what I expected. But then again, its a Belgian ale for $1.99!! The high aroma score pushed the total score higher than I would’ve given it, had I given it one straight number. Definiately agree with cheicagobears’ comment that this would be a good "rest" beer amongst a whole bunch of heavier belgians chicagobears (336), Elk Grove Village, Illinois, USA

Has a sweet malty taste, mlid fruit, and a decent hop bite. I can’t help but think belgium ale "light" when drinking this. It is uncommonly weak and watery for a Belgium ale. It is however quite welcomed after sampling a few heavier Belgium ales this evening. Rodenbach Grand Cru and Corsendonk pale in case you’re interested to know. BeerBiker (1392), Kathmandu, Nepal
