oh6gdx (8795), Vasa, Finland Jan 7, 2006 Bottled. Reddish amber colour with small beigeish head. Aroma of plum, spices and sweet malts. Flavour is strong hoppy with grassy hints. Grassiness goes hay in finish. Also barley comes in quite strong in the form of breadish hints. Pleasant, but a bit too hoppy for my taste. mabjork (580), Vasa, Finland Jan 7, 2006 Bottled. Light brown with a minor white head. The aroma is bitter / malty / sour. The flavour consists of a malty sensation, it feels quite fresh. I didn’t sense any particular aftertaste. I like it and it seems to have a character of it’s own. MarkoR (224), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jan 6, 2006 Sweet malts taste. Foamy head. Nice appearance. A very drinkable beer. Bottle, from LCBO gift package. Sten (288), Westerlo, Belgium Dec 22, 2005 A amber coloured beer with a small head. A mild sweet but watery taste. (Bottle 25cl) Boutip (2333), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada Dec 20, 2005 Bottle: Poured a hazy deep yellow color ale with a huge foamy dirty white head wit pretty good retention. Aroma of Belgian yeast with sweet malt. Taste is quite refreshing with some mild sweet malt and nice dose of Belgian yeast. Medium dry finish with a nice above average body. Very good take on the style. frankenkitty (1900), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA Dec 19, 2005 Served as a hazy, deep-copper under a thin white film and thick white ring. Light apple in aroma with licorice, cherry, pink bubblegum, white wine and light funk. Flavor is multi-layered with fruits and caramel, ending with dry bitters. Smooth yet dry. Left a very vinous impression. Complex and delicious.

chriso (4667), London, Greater London, England Dec 14, 2005 The ubiquitous "bolleke" of Antwerp. Respectable, but unexciting. In fact, over a few days in Antwerp, I began to find it a bit boring. And I couldn’t help getting reminded of those creamy British keg bitters of the seventies and, more recently, nitrokeg smooth "bitters". Draught, Antwerp, September 2003. beervana (781), Libertyville, Illinois, USA Dec 12, 2005 On tap at Firkin’s, Libertyville, IL. Fresh keg. Clear amber ale having a long-lasting large white head with good lacing. Fruity and sweet malt aromas. Medium bodied that starts with sweet malt and toffee flavors. Finishes with light malt aftertaste. No discernable hop or bitterness. This is a good drinkable session beer.
