Nekronos (2243), Xalapa, Mexico Dec 8, 2005 Updated: Mar 25, 2006VEry good, after a while it is a normal beer, but at the beginning, it is very sweet and strong, not tiring, but not as crafty as some others. I like it. Yes. SDbruboy (1832), San Diego, California, USA Dec 3, 2005 33 ml bottle, from BevMo LaJolla. Pours a beautiful rosy-amber color with a small beige head. Aroma is dusty-toasty malts, with a dry yeastiness and herbal notes. Flavor is dry and bitter-sweet with floral hops and a slight spicy yeast. Light to medium body and moderate carbonation. This would be a good one with food, not bad as a European session ale as well. Bart (1625), Vosselaar, Belgium Nov 28, 2005 Dark amber colour, rather small head, malty aroma. Palate is herby yet a smouth taste with a light bitter finish. Easy drinkable beer. GonZoBeeR (2154), ste-Eulalie, Quebec, Canada Nov 27, 2005 Appearance:light skunk, spicy and fruity...
appearance:beautiful amber,good head...
Flavor:mixe of good hopy malt flavor and can... turbothy (717), Bonn, Germany Nov 26, 2005 Pours light chestnut brown. Fruity sour aroma, nutty flavour without the expected butteryness. Okay-ish. ElBorracho (472), Chicago, Illinois, USA Nov 22, 2005 On tap at The Globe. Poured a murky copper. Mild fruits on the nose. Raisans and prunes in what was a somewhat muted flavor to me. Had a bit of a funky mild sourness to it. pootzboy (1034), Hawgville, Ontario, Canada Nov 21, 2005 Bottled: poured into a De Konninick goblet...reveals a amber-brown, lightly clouded ale. Good cap retention and good lacing on the glass. Moderately carbonated.
To the nose we get a ripe fruit (plumbs?) smell mingling with caramel, spices and some wet hay...but all reletivley understated...excellent nose. Medium-light body, creamy mouthfeel. Sweetish toffee-like malts mingle with fruity tastes from the yeast and some mild bittering in the finish from the hop mix. This is a light, but flavorful Belgian ale...very,very drinkable...I wish it were available here all year.
Cartoonkhaki (1149), Brantford, Ontario, Canada Nov 19, 2005 Dark amber, caramel head, dark robust flavour. Good balance of malt and hops, mute creamy palate. Slightly fruity. Has tht stewed pear and apple flavour that the triple has but more subtle.
