Coppery colored with aroma of caramel malt, some cabernet, fruit, and black pepper aromas. Tastes fairly well balanced and complex, with medium body and some dryness in the finish. I would drink this again, and I would jump at the chance to try it on tap. Choos (504), Taylors Hill, Australia

Cloudy light brown with small head. Very ciderlike inititally with a sweet and sour light malt and bitter finish. Body was a bit weak. Interesting - a bit like a weak Gueuze. Bottle version was much less acidic and lighter as well as being a darker brown. gilvanblight (390), Windsor, Ontario, Canada

This is fantastic and realy a complete different thing that the bottled and kegged versions. It has a very creamy palate , slightly sweet and toasted. The aroma is the same but more than the "ordinary". A beer to hunt for. ThomasE (5178), Copenhagen, Denmark

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 30, 2005 Poured from the bottle and coupled with Wild Boar & Chimay Sausages. A pale brown with a good coverage of head - which laced beautifully down the glass. Aroma was a pleasant sweet malt. One downside was that it was TOO COLD (what a sin), so difficult to get out any flavours, except for the malt. It did melt on the tounge though, not as in your face as some other belgium beers. Also had a nice amount of bitterness.
