Boystout (900), Chisinau, Moldova Aug 18, 2004 Bolleke-draught in the Cellar, St. Andrews. Dark amber colour and medium head. Aroma of spices, hops and fruits. Fantastic. Complex palate: yeast, coriander, hops, nuts, plums and lot more. Unforgettable experience. Walt (2289), Chicago, Illinois, USA Aug 5, 2004 Amber color with thick bitter head...malt then hops in the nose...a little malty in the mouth, but this is really hoppy...finish is dry and bitter...not aweful... HermanW (619), Coevorden, Netherlands Aug 2, 2004 Beer from belgium has a good history. tasty good beer. jimmack (1221), Nutley, New Jersey, USA Jul 25, 2004 Amber color with a large thick white head. You can smell the aroma of hops
and malt very clearly along bread and oak. Very hoppy, fruity flavor but is not sweet. Very dry. Kevin (1917), Colorado, USA Jul 13, 2004 Bottle. nice pour light amber with a decent bubbly head. aroma is slightly raisinish. taste is like a liquid oatmeal with a nutty tint. this is a very raw somewaht earthy taste. this norders on bland. the finish is more enjoyable than anyother part. i doubt i’ll drink this again. Lumpy (1802), Carrollton, Texas, USA Jul 13, 2004 Bottle. Nose is very nice with hints of apple and malt. First flavors to come out are straw (very strong), wood, and malt. This beer defines the term "earthy". Finish is very mild and clean. The is one helluva mild Belgian Ale. lachesis (759), St Idesbald, Belgium Jul 13, 2004 Amber colored beer with puffy, fizzy white head. Light malty aroma with small hint of yeast. The taste is not exiting and has a malty bitterness. KAggie97 (2406), Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas, USA Jul 2, 2004 Not your typical Begian Ale as it is a bit subdued in flavor, but nonetheless an enjoyable beer. A nice thirst quencher.
