The Cellar, St. Andrews. Dark gold color. Smells and tastes of spices. Much better than average, very lovely.

BB 5/1/2004 date. Poured a light orange, dark yellowish amber color with a small off-white head. Aroma of belgian yeast, yellow fruits and light hops. Also a dry papery/nutty aroma as well. Flavor has the typical belgian yeastiness, some lightly sweet malt, mild carbonation and a medium to medium light body. Dries out considerably so on the finish. A good belgian ale, but with little distinctive personality, if any.

(0,33 l bottle) Sampled at Pub Italia, Ottawa. Pours a medium, foamy, white head with an orange-amber body. The nose is mildly grassy malty and eggy. The flavours were much the same with perhaps a brief appearance by weeds. Nothing spectacular here...

Bizarre to see this in a McSpoons. Good to see it survived their treatment. Dry and yeasty. Fairly full bodied.
