Golden colour with a off-white head. Sweet malty light spicy aroma and taste, light dry. Medium body and a dry finish.

a sim rate: (on tap) It’s got a very metallicy taste... almost overwhelmingly so. Very aley style with a smell that reminds me of rust. Smooth with a bitter finish. I used to really enjoy this beer, but now it seems it has nothing distinguishing really, it’s just beery.

Tap @ Belgo Central, London.
Pours deep amber with a small, creamy white head. Fine lacing. Aroma is sweet, lightly fruity and some caramel. A bit flat mouthfeel. Flavour is fine, sweet, light oranges, yeast, apple and caramel. Fine belgian, but nothing more.

(Draught) Pours a rich amber color with a frothy head. Descent sipping beer, but not one of my favorite Belgians.

11.2oz bottle–pours a rich foamy off white head and amber color. Aroma is medium malt-slight peat, yeast-clove/spice, fruit. Taste is spice hops (saaz) overrides the medium malt-slight peat/slight caramel and yeast, then finishes thin. Easy drinking. OK carbonation.

Wasnt sure what to expect here. Aroma is malty, just raw maltyness. Taste is nutty like a brown ale almost but seriously malty, i wonder if there is any hops in this fellow, but towards the end u start to feel the minimal hops, not that im looking for them. Seems to me that im drinkin a bock here with ale written on it?

Draft at Old Dominion Beer Festival 2005... Crystal clear, deep amber ale. The nose is slightly flemish, tart and breadsy with light notes of banana and clove. The flavor is fairly uneventful, but perfectly balanced. Generously hopped by Belgian standards. Light to medium-bodied and fizzy. Crisp, clean finish.
