Mar 29, 2005 had this on draft at a mediteranan joint in antwerp...asked where we could get it with the yeast on the side..nobody knew what the hell i was talking about. for some reason i expected alot more from this beer but got an unexciting drab beer. copper color with a nitro head. mostly slight malty character with some metallic backbone and a sulphur smile. move on mates and drink something else, especially if your in beligum.

Aug 1, 2006 12 oz. bottle yields a deep coppery pour, medium light tan head that receded quickly. Roasty malt aroma with a bit of estery fruit character. Medium mouthfeel, bubbly carbonation. Burnt caramel, some rasin/plum lead to a slightly metallic, bitter finish. Undistinguished and almost one dimensional, I was not impressed.

Aug 14, 2009 bottle from metzlers in denton tx. this poured an amberish color with a white-off white head. this beer was just a complete mess and only my 2nd drain pour ever. malty and fruity for aroma and flavor. did not like this one. i am being very generous on the score IMO. wish i hadnt of bought a 4 pack. i should of stuck with my original plan.

Oct 21, 2006 Amber in colour with medium carbonation. Vanilla caramel and mild banana aromatics. Flavor wise, the caramel evolves into more burnt toffee territory. Peppery yeast notes appear mid taste and evaporate into a slightly bitter and drying grain husk finish. Way more thin than I would have expected, considering all of the caramel aromas. Even though it’s intended to be a lighter style of Belgian ale, "Light" doesn’t have to mean light on flavor or compexity. This one is a bit too "light" in both regards.

Mar 27, 2009 From the tap poured amber with a good amount of head. Nice sweet malty flavor with a quick finish.

Oct 16, 2005 Reminded me a lot of a clean golden pale ale. I can see why this is an everyday drink in antwerp. Nice and sweep with just enough hop character. Nice.

May 18, 2008 No head good carbonation,dark amber ale.Aroma is malt.Flavour malt and slight tangy taste,melon,honey.Finish tart and dry.
