Feb 25, 2007 Updated: Sep 2, 2007Draft from Lowlander? Pale amber colour with a small white head. Light body, BIG intentions. Nose of brown sugar. Molasses, maple syrup and orange in the taste. Very clean, sweet finish. Washes down oh so well. I wasn’t this impressed from the bottle - perhaps draft is the way to go?

Mar 8, 2009 on tap, pours amber with a tall off white head. Light aroma of malt and faint hops. Flavor is sweet malt and light bitter/spicy finish.

Aug 13, 2002 My cousin’s friend Rodney has a penchant for European brews. Sometimes he cheerfully shows up with skunky swill, but for one recent gathering he scored this brew. It’s warm and spicy like a dulled mulled cider, its spices muted by a rounded malt and softly undercut with a whiff of hops. Tasty, but not outstanding out of the bottle.

Nov 24, 2002 Nose dominated by Saaz hops. Flavor is lightly sweet, with some bready malt. Mouthfeel is slightly watery.

Served from cask and I haven’t tasted a better De Koninck since I went to the brewery 15 years ago. This is fantastic and realy a complete different thing that the bottled and kegged versions. It has a very creamy palate , slightly sweet and toasted. The aroma is the same but more than the "ordinary". A beer to hunt for.

May 26, 2009 Right off the top, I assumed that De wouldve been the choice of drunkards and chuggers. Dead on. Too bad that they are wasting a chug on such a good beer. nice amberish colour and beautifully thick head filled up my glass. Mild hops and malts and a unassuming flowery scent. Seemed flat, but wasnt(???) 5 minuites tops and I need another - Damn easy to drink!
