Sweet fruit and caramel sromas with a hint of tomato. Aroma comes out a bit better as it warms. Light malt sweetness with some cola and tomato marmalade undertones. Finish has a touch of earthy peat. This one did little for me, until I was distracted and it warmed near room temperatue. jbrus (4894), Delft, Netherlands

Light sweet, pretty hoppy, light herbal, light fruity. Reminded me of an english style ale. Didn’t have this one for ages. Didn’t like it before but now I had it again I can really appreciate it. chriso (4851), London, Greater London, England
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 14, 2005 The ubiquitous "bolleke" of Antwerp. Respectable, but unexciting. In fact, over a few days in Antwerp, I began to find it a bit boring. And I couldn’t help getting reminded of those creamy British keg bitters of the seventies and, more recently, nitrokeg smooth "bitters". Draught, Antwerp, September 2003. Poured clear dark amber with a moderate frothy off-white head that lasted with good lacing. Moderate yeasty fruity aroma. Medium body. Medium complex tart citrus flavor with a medium tart citrus finish of moderate duration. Intereting brew. anders37 (4774), Malmö, Sweden

Sweet malty slightly yeasty aroma with some caramel hints. Sweet malty caramel flavor with some hints of yeast. Has a malty finish with some bitterness in the aftertaste. maeib (4766), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Feb 16, 2004 Brandy coloured and a sour fruit aroma. The taste in the mouth is of sour apples or grapes, but the aftertaste is a bit sickly after a while. An enigmatic beer. leaparsons (4748), Leicester, Leicestershire, England
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 20, 2004 Amber in colour. Aromas are sweet biscuity malts. Flavours are also sweet and malty with more fruitiness. Ultimately this is quite thin and lacks character compared the the higher alcohol beers of the ilk. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 6, 2005 Bottle from Peace St. Market, Raleigh. Coppery colored with aroma of caramel malt, some cabernet, fruit, and black pepper aromas. Tastes fairly well balanced and complex, with medium body and some dryness in the finish. I would drink this again, and I would jump at the chance to try it on tap.
