The dusty aroma contains some spice, toffee and muscatels. The flavour is well balanced, sweet with some good finishing bitterness. A medium bodied palate with a decent lasting aftertaste. This beer certainly fights above it’s weight of 5%, with plenty of flavour. thornecb (1795), Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA

Sometimes he cheerfully shows up with skunky swill, but for one recent gathering he scored this brew. It’s warm and spicy like a dulled mulled cider, its spices muted by a rounded malt and softly undercut with a whiff of hops. Tasty, but not outstanding out of the bottle.
