| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 19, 2003 A marginal beer that did little for me. Poured a nice amber color with a three-bubbled head. Nothing there. The aroma was actually kind of pleasant sweet apples, caramel and light summer fruits. The flavor is quite hoppy, but ultimately a bit drab to me. I mean the flavor wasn't terrible, but it just didn't do it for me. To each their own... Sickboy282 (1101), San Diego, California, USA

Amber hue with flavors of spices and malts with that generic belgian flair. Nuffield (2749), Roseville, Minnesota, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jul 24, 2002 A beer with some contradictions. Creamy looking pale ale color--it could have passed for a lookalike of an English cream bitter. Yet, a lager-like aroma and a distinctive, more Belgian flavor with some spiciness. Good body. Not brilliant, but interesting. (on tap, Belgo, Kingsway, London) Jeppe (2638), Ølbutikken, Denmark
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 30, 2003 Very small head on a clear golden amber coloured body. Sweet malty nose. Flavor is sweet fruit and malt with a somewhat bitter but watery aftertaste. Nice ale. JoeMcPhee (5056), Jackson Heights, New York, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 2, 2005 Amber colour, white head. Spicy, yeasty nose with clove, cinnamon, and nutmeg characters. Flavour is well-balanced, softly carbonated, light brown sugar, and a nice peachy fruitiness. Light bitterness. Well made. RollinHard (763), Fort Worth, Texas, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 17, 2006 Pours a nice goldy orange. Smells sour sweet and yeasty, and tastes the same as well, with a little bit of a raisin flavor. Finishes very dry, and even that quality leaves quickly. Thin, medium-high carbonation. A nice and relaxing beer. jefcon (1009), Arlington, Virginia, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 25, 2005 Reddish, but clear, in the glass with a half inch of white head. Figs, perfume and raisin on the nose, along with some faint, rich malt aromas. A bit sour on tasting and a little bitter. Some fruit, but not very much stands out. While quaffable, this palate was mixed and short. Its sourness helps the ale stand apart.
