Had this one in the brewery in Antwerp. Magic beer. Great fine head, and its colour is beautiful.

Cask @ JDW The Regal, Cambridge, UK. 29th May 2005
Served from cask and I haven’t tasted a better De Koninck since I went to the brewery 15 years ago. This is fantastic and realy a complete different thing that the bottled and kegged versions. It has a very creamy palate , slightly sweet and toasted. The aroma is the same but more than the "ordinary". A beer to hunt for.

On tap @ In De Wildeman, Amsterdam. Pours a beautiful clear dark amber color. Minor beige head. Aroma is mainly caramel and sweet malts. Nice toffee flavour with hops and some pleasant mild fruits. Very well balanced and easy to drink. I really love this beer. It’s so significant and clean and down to earth. Less is more!

This has to be one of my favourite draughts for regular drinking. Malty with a pleasant fruity tone. Rich amber colour and an off-white head. Eminently drinkable.

An aroma so faint I accidently dipped my nose in it & still didn't smell anything, strange... It appears rich, cloudy, and smooth. A pretty gold-amber color, I wish my hair was that shade, like that gay "Amber waves of grain" song. This beverage is a lighter, less potent, joyful alternative to my favorite, more expensive & more intoxicating ales such as Maudite(all hail thee), etc. Dug it!

Pours a nearly opaque light chocolate brown with a thick, fine-bubbled ecru head. Aroma is malty, hoppy and subtly chocolaty. Mouth-filling malty flavor has hints of molasses, chocolate, nuts, hops and spice. Texture is smooth, fizzy, and quite pleasing.
