For a beer thats listed as a belgian ale, it did not smell like any I have tried, but maybe I just need more practice. The best I can descibe it is to say the aroma was like a sweet pilsner. Not impressed with the taste either. At least not as a Belgian. That being said, its not a bad taste. Hoppy and bitter with a drawn out finish that was quite pleasant. Not what I would consider an example of the style, but a good beer none the less. Eyedrinkale (3209), Astoria, New York, USA

Low carbonation and acidic flavors make this taste more like a light lager than a good belgian. larsniclas (3391), Gothenburg, Sweden

A fruity aroma.
A wellbalanced beer with a sourish and fruity flavour and some late bitterness. BeaverBrown (245), Portland, Oregon, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 1, 2008 Bottled. Pours out in a clear amber colour low disappearing white foam. Yeast, dust, red berries, mild cheese and hay in the aroma. Medium-bodied with notes of caramel, yeast, red berries and oranges. Mild finish of yeast, red plums and grass. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 2, 2005 33cl bottle. Clear dark amber color, minimal head. Mildly malty aroma, fruit, apples, spice. Clean and light body, sweet, with a malty lingering dry finish. Certainly not a bad beer, just not particularly interesting, lacking the complexity you might expect from most Belgians. jerc (3964), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 9, 2005 Red amber bdy with a creamy beige head. (3+) Sweet fruity aroma over malt. Flavour is similarly fruity with just enough hoppy bitterness to offset the malt sweetness a bit. Average Palate, lingering fruity aftertaste. Enjoyably quaffable and well rounded but kind of unexciting. thegreenrooster (1852), St.louis, Missouri, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 17, 2005 Pour is a good looking red-brown with lots of floaties in there. Aroma is very wine like and vinegar. Flavor is dark fruits with a certain mustyness. The flavor never really comes out and hits you like most Belgians. For this it loses points but over all it is decent and prob good for someone wanting to try the Belgian style for the first time.
