Let’s get this out of the way - it smelled like sweat socks, which in a bizarre way, is not a bad thing. The aroma also contain a lot funky, moldy elements that seemed to work. Anyway, copper, very small head. Really easy to drink - flavors are a mix of smoky, earthy malts, ham , and some mellow, floral hops. Nice. igel (196), New Mexico, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 2, 2004 Pours a hazy golden brown, with a weak head (and poor retention at that); yet it is lively and effervescent. The smell is of bread, fruit, and a grassy background. The flavor has a crisp start, sweet middle and a dry, spicy finish. The feel is smooth and slippery with a balanced effervescence and a lingering dryness. ratman197 (3238), Arvada, Colorado, USA

Flavor was almost all malt and some alcohol. Very dubble like. Not bad. SudsMcDuff (1694), was CapeTown,SA-now Houston, Texas, USA

Small head, beautiful color! The first taste may be a little weird but if you dive deeper into the glass, a world will open for you! mannika (103), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 18, 2007 On draft at Beer Bistro. Pours a bright red. Not much of an aroma, a bit hoppy. Flavour was nice and full, with a hint of sweetness, perhaps cherry? Finish is subdued but lengthy, with a bit of a more bitter taste. A really impressive refreshing beer.
