Cloudy orange, huge fluffy white head (bit of a gusher). Sharp dry spicy yeast aroma, background sweetness, somewhat like crushed tomato vines. The taste is quite herbal bitter, the taste reminds me of how my mouth used to get weeding the vegetable garden on a hot, still, sunny August day - mildly alcoholic - tons of dry yeast. Average body, a bit still, very dry and minerally in the finish/linger - it grew on me - not sure about that aroma, but the taste was unique and enjoyable. BelgiskOlklub (406), Viby J, Denmark

Really great. towerjac (28), Lansing, Michigan, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 15, 2009 A decent staple Belgian ale. Nice dark yellow colour, good all-around taste with a hint of typically Brussels sourness to it which adds a nice local touch to the brew. The carbonation makes it tickle your tongue nicely and it offers a decent range of fruity and bitter flavours. A good mid-range beer to spend an evening with. EricE (464), Fairfax, Virginia, USA

Strong yeasty aroma with a bit of skunk. Malty taste with a bit of roast. Earthy with some fruit. Very refreshing with a nice hoppy finish.
