Bottle. Look: Hazy dark orange, big white head. Smell: Hoppy, fruity, light spicyness. Taste: Lemon, hops, bitter orange. Sweet and fruity at first, then bitter. Add some honey to the aftertaste. Overall: Really nice session beer. Not very complex, still a very good beer.

The beer poured a light golden color with a nice rush of bubbles to the top that last for awhile and it complimented by a relatively small white head but fluffy. The nose is full of notes of lemon, yeast and a citrus tone as well. The taste is bit hoppier than I expected but pleasant. There is also a lemony, earthy taste that rounds this beer out well. Although light in color and abv, the body is medium and provides for a very decent beer. If you like this beer, try to get a hold of the Crianza which is excellent.

Pours a couldy pee yellow with a small white head that does not hang around very long. Smells of apple cider. Strong and slightly sour taste. Does not quite have a blonde ale taste to it, more of a saison. Not a bad brew but for the price I could have had a lot better.

750mL Bottle. Cold seltzer, apple juice and cork flavor. Light pepper notes. Pours a slightly clouded golden, with a soapy white rim. Flavor has a nice classic, musty Biere de Garde cellar and cork character, the gives a little cheese rind, some wetness and a nice run of alcohol character and wet hops. Soft carbonation brings more of the cork into play. I like it. Distinct fresh apple, walnut flesh, and a bit of white fig fill out the nicely balanced malt. Not as much hops as I’d hoped for, but respectable. Another nice fresh golden ale, that probably could age on cork for a long, long time and develop more nuanced malt and yeast character.

(Rating #2114)

Deep cloudy golden beer with a thick creamy head. Grainy and quite hoppy aroma. Moderate bitterness but a lingering spicy/herbal hop flavour. Pretty nice brew.
