Pours a coffee brown color with a foamy tan head that quickly dissipates. Delicate fruity aroma of raspberries, strawberries and caramel. Bittersweet malty taste of hay, earth and coffee, although a bit watery. Well balanced. Decent carbonation and a good long bitter finish. Actually a very nice beer.

Clear deep amber with a medium beige head. Sweet fruity aroma with caramel and roasted malt. Flavour was sweet with roaasted malt, chocolate and caramel notes. Finished sweet.

Bottle , New Oxford, Salford. Poured a dark mahogany tinged brown. with a very thin tan head. Malt, Molasses, prune.... not a huge amount more to say about this disappointingly dull dubbel really. Neeeext !

Hand delivered bottle by altonbrownd. Pours a nice deep ruby brown with a steady film of a head. Nose of dark fruit and chocolate. Body is medium minus and overall surprisingly refreshing despite all the busy-ness of this brew. Light caramel and fruit mix with malt and a sherry like contingent that peeks at you from about a corner. The finish just tones slowy away. A relaxing brew after stringing half of the hop yard trellis today. Hooray for Martin!

[ As De Leckere Dubbel ]. Clear medium amber color with a average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, bread, roasted, caramel, brown sugar. Flavor is moderate sweet and light light bitter with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. [20081003]

Bottle 30cl. Pours a clear dark brown colour with so little head that I think theyve never heard of it in Utrecht. Also little carbonation. Smell is very hard to detect, some fruits and malts there with vague bit of chocolate. Taste is a bit more present, with the malts and fruits there too, balance is okay, nothing more.

30 cL bottle as De Leckere Dubbel, courtesy of fonefan. Pours clear and golden hazzlenut brown with a diminished white head. Mild spiced and malty aroma. Mild breadish malty and slight spiced flavour. Bitter and slight malty metallic flavour into the finish.

Bottled (thanks jbrus!). Deep rubyish amber colour, small beige head. Aroma is ryebread and some mild roasted notes as well as fruits. Flavour is very much the same along with slight alcohol and notes of dry dark druits. Not much of an aftertaste in this one. Quite watery. As it warms up it gets some rather leathery notes.
