Brown coloured, normal head, diminishing in glass.Aroma is roasted malts, candy, a bit earthy. Aroma is OK furthermore. Taste is sweety, bitterly, malty, with some dark chocolate and dates in it. Reasonable finish. Nice decent but not a special bock, rather a common one.

On tap at Pint Bokbierfestival 09. Deep reddish amber colour, off white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel. Flavour is sweet, toffee, malts, like an IPA without hops. Light bitter finish. Light to medium bodied. OK.

Hardly any head but a nice aroma: butterscotch and raisins. Full and with a roasted, hoppy aftertaste.

After the beer was served in the glass there was found a lasting quantity not wall adhesive light brown foam collar which was fine and evenly of structure. The beer also contained no carbonic acid in the glass. The beer has a thick dark brown color and a hoppybitter taste. The after tast of the beer is hoppybitter with a roasted malty touch. This beer smells malty.

Bottle 30cl. @ [ Back2Bock Tasting ].
Clear medium red amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, brown sugar, nutty notes. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and malt bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20081115]

Bottle. Strong malty aroma, molasses, soft smell of bitter chocolate. Rather small brown creamy-fizzy head, normal duration. The body is dark red. The first taste is quite bitter, the finish is a little bit mild, quite long lasting. Normal carbonation, medium body, dry and a little bit oily. Not a bad one.

From tap. Pours clear and golden deep amber with an almost fully gone head. Sweet strawberry like fruity note. Flavour has even more of this fruity strawberry to marmelade like sweetness. Shows a light malt base and more distinct bitterness into the finish.

Bottle. [thank you, bierkoning]
Beautiful deep chestnut red-black with a fine, creamy, beige head. Aroma is lightly roasted, some dried fruits, red apples and some wine gums. Medium carbonation, okay mouthfeel. Flavour is lightly metallic at first. Then a good dry hoppy note, with light roasted malts, a bit of chocolate and dried fruits. Light ashy notes. Fairly drinkable.
