Bottled (From BelgianShop). Hazy rubyish brown colour with mediumsized creamy berige head. Aroma is roasted malts, caramel malts, some slight grassy notes as well as earth and yeast. Flavour is quite much the same along with dark dry fruits and liquorice as well. Feels a bit thin, even though it’s 6.5%.

Sep 28, 2009 It’s hazy, red-brown with a lively carbonation and a huge, creamy head. The aroma is sweet with notes of roasted malt, spice, fruit and light chocolate. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, spice (mostly coriander), dark fruits, burnt sugar, preserved orange peel, hints of chocolate and berries, and the finish is slightly dry. It’s harmonic and uncomplicated.

Sep 5, 2009 Bottle @ Vilvordia Bierproef Festival, Jette, Brussels. Pours a slightly hazy dark brown color with a small off-white head. Has a slightly roasted malty caramel aroma with some hoppy hints. Fruity malty caramel flavor with some hints of chocolate. Has a fruity malty finish with some bitter aftertaste.

Aug 22, 2009 Bottle from De Bierkoning. Hazy, deep dark reddish brown with a healthy off-white head. Fruity aroma, lots of apple, some caramel. Tastes too sweet in my opinion. Some good fruit and hints of licorice. Needs some improvement.

Unclear medium to dark brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, sugar, light hoppy, flowers, spicy coriander.
