Commercial Description:
Struise/Molen. Dark color, thick creamy brown head. Aroma of chocolate, coffee, roasted malt, hint of brown sugar, some dry fruit. Great mouthfeel, creamy. Again coffee and chocolate in the taste, slightly alcoholic, but in a good way. I like to have this for breakfast every day! Like Urbain said with a dark twist of the mind, not for pussies.

Bottle at home. Pours an opaque black with a big beige head. Smells of toasted malts. Sweet with aromas of toasted malts and hints of smoked malts too. Also some notes of Belgian yeast esters. Also strong coffee and chocolate notes. Hints of alcohol. Full body. Medium carbonation. Tiny hints of metals in the early finish.

The bottle looks really good, the beer in the glass also. Starts strong malty, prickly, notes of coffee. Finish gets drier, not too scratchy. All in all a mild and soft Imperial Stout, but a good one, of course. Thanks to Bierkoning for the bottle!

330ml bottle that says 13% abv, brought direct from Ølbutikken and shared with Skinnyviking at Absalon. Black as the devil. Brownish, bubbly foam. Some sediments floating around. Smoked dark malts to the nose. Rich taste of black fruits, roasted malts, espresso coffee and a delicious spicy bitterness to the finish. Well integrated alcohol. Strong and full bodied, but still dangerously easy to drink. Perfect (Copenhagen, 15.05.2009).

33 cl bottle, bought at Ølbutikken, shared with Roger. Black color, lovely brown head. Very fine aroma of roasted malt, coffee and dry fruit. The flavor is coffee, chocolate, roasted malt. There is a lot of bitterness and salty liqorice. Hints of smoke. Extreme, but very interesting and drinkable imperial stout - what else could you expect when two breweries like that cooperate.

Poured a deep brown color with a large tan head. Coffee dominates the aroma with alcohol following next. Some milk chocolate. Light ash and light fruit. The flavor was roasty and sweet to start. Dry chalky finish. Hint of tartness on the finish. Warming with a medium body.

330 ml bottle. Pitch black. Very tall grayish beige head that clings to the glass. Bold dry milk chocolate aroma. Hints of piney hops. High carbonation level. Rich chocolatey and coffe flavours. Flavours linger very long. There is clearly a lot of specialty malts in there. Roasty, but also mellow and nicely drinkable. Enjoyable, and sippable.
