Pours deep dark mahogany with dark tan head. The aroma is roasty to burnt malts and dark fruity esters to start then mild notes of spices and then molasses round things out. The taste begins with roasty malts and chocolate then sweet black grapes and prunes to midway. Toward the finish those flavors are met by a mild level of sour barrel notes coming to the surface mingling peacefully with more chocolate and burnt malts. daniele (1738), Italy
