Nose is chocolate, dried apricot, molasses and wet leaves. Hints of coffee. Soft medium body with airy carb. Taste is plum, prunes and raisin. Espresso and dark chocolate emerge with grapefruit juice and peel. Lingering tar and tobacco. A massive, quirky stout just what i’d expect from the brewers involved. sfhodense (577), Odense NØ, Denmark

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 2, 2009 Two of my favorite european brewers joining forces, should be interesting! Black look with a thick brown head leaving laces. Perfect! At first i found the aroma quite spicy, like juniper and heather and alchoholic. As it heats up some more recognizeable notes of roasted malts and some fruity/syrup sweetness. Flavor has a sleight roasted bitterness, a thick complex fruity sweetness and a sharp alchohol finish. Will grow through the years i’d expect, for now i prefer black albert Beer2000 (1841), Kristiansand, Norway
