Commercial Description:
Struise/Molen. Dark color, thick creamy brown head. Aroma of chocolate, coffee, roasted malt, hint of brown sugar, some dry fruit. Great mouthfeel, creamy. Again coffee and chocolate in the taste, slightly alcoholic, but in a good way. I like to have this for breakfast every day! Like Urbain said with a dark twist of the mind, not for pussies.

Fantastic looking black beer. Nice long lasting head on top. Fine aroma’s of coffee, chocolate, burned malts, heavy caramel, dark sugars and hints of fruits. Taste is drier than expected, but still this exeptional beer is so nice to drink and so well balabced. Great looking lable too !

Draught @ Pre-ZBF Alvinne. A black colored beer, with a small thick beige head. The aroma of dark malts, some smoke, coffe, chocolate, with some liquorice juice. The taste of smoked malts, dry bitter chocolate, some coffee and wood. Great combination. The aftertaste is bitter with notes of chocolate.

Made with coffee beans while brewing, this must be the ideal Coffee Stout. Taste is so ground-like and espresso-reminding that it’s mindblowing! Palate is very coffeelike with a hint of saltiness. The mouthfeel on this one is awesome, it actually feels like a mixed soup when you move it around in your mouth. Legendary.

on draft at the Pre-ZBF pours black with a tall dark tan head. Aroma is out of this world. Dark malt, coffee and a bakers chocolate nose that is very powerfull. Flavors are dark malt, liqorice and chocolate with a mild earth wood flavor in the background. I was a fan of the two beers already, but I really do believe the mix brings the earthyness of the BA and the dark malt and roastyness of the HandD and creates a great brew that I can’t wait to try bottle conditioned.

33cL bottle. Pours pitch black, topped with a huge, frothy brown head. Beautiful roasted chocolate malt aroma, with hints of coffee, cocoa, and gin. Bitter coffee and burnt chocolate malt flavor, with dark fruit, wood, and bourbon. Alcohol is quite evident in the finish. Bittersweet chocolate lingers on the palate, with some warming alcohol. This is pretty intense, and very delicious.

Bottle from Alvinne. Pours really black with a huge frothy dark tan head. Aroma of strong coffee, dark toast malt and perhaps chocolate. Full bodied with foamy carbonation. Flavor is strong coffee and both milk and dark chocolate. Much more intense than Black Albert. Finishes extremely IS with not quite dry actuality. 666 - believe it.

Draught @ pré-ZBF 09 @ Alvinne: Alvinne-Struise beerfest.
Clear dark black color with a average to large, frothy - creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, light brown head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, dark chocolate, fruity, smoke - peat. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration. Body is medium to full, texture is oily - sticky, carbonation is soft. Very delicious and well balanced ;o)) [20090306]
