Bottle 33 cl. Stamped nr. 439. Nice that many of Moles beers now are availeble in small bottles...makes it possible to drink on a worknight. Nice Pretty alive..eager to get out of the bottle when uncapped...have a glass ready. The pour is dark brown with a huuuuuge fluffy head. The nose is very roassty and malty. There is coffee and chocolate to top the roastyness with some pale citric notes. The mouthfeel is easy and watery. Like the aroma the taste is packed with coffee and roasty malts. Some sweet laqurice, vanilla notes and something that reminds me of sweet figs. Pretty tastefull finish with a nice sweet but still complex taste.

Bottled. An amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has strong notes of malt, medium notes of caramel, and light notes of alcohol. The flavor is sweet malty with light notes of burnt malt and caramel, leading to a dry finish. Thanks fonefan for sharing.

750mL bottle, #427, bottled 2/19/08. Poured medium brown with a creamy cap of tan head.. foam rolled out of the bottle for a while. The aroma picked up roasty, near burnt black patent malts paired with molasses and baker’s chocolate.. brighter earthy surroundings.. digging deep I found some lactose character. The flavor had the same black patent, chocolate, and molasses at the core, picking up some honey that really worked.. bitterness was roasty, but lacked definable character.. vanilla joined at the finish. Medium-bodied and too well carbonated on the palate.. milky tartness kept it lively and interesting.. not a great porter, but I’d probably try it again (if it didn’t cost so much).

750 ml bottle - slight gusher as it pours out thin, dark brown and clear along the edges; white head fades quickly; smells amazing with chocolate and mild roast; sweet and fizzy texture, but flavor profile is super weak; minor floaties with dry finish; pretty blah porter and another miss by De Molen

Bottle. Extremely agressive when I poured it. High fluffy and long lasting ligth brown head. Pitch black body. Heavily roasted malt aroma with coffee liquorice and wood. Smooth roasted malt coffee liquorice flavour with sour notes. Low carbonation, short aftertaste.

Bottle at home - shared with Mette. Black - offwhite head. Licorice, light vegetables, burned, light soapy, nice hoppy, light body, chocolatem light sweetness, grainy, light nutty, roasted. Nice - but not that interesting.

Dark amber brown with a big and lasting white head. Rich and complex aroma of Chocolate, fruit, figs. Sweetish malty flavour with chocolate and dried fruits, a little charcoal and maybe a touch of smoke.

bottle 674/708 brewed jan 16, 2008 from xmarcnolanx shared with the phx crew... weird color?... orange-ish iced tea tinted brown with a small tannish film. the nose is odd as well, coffee, brown sugar, grain, toasted nuts and an ashiness or tartness....perhaps amped up lacto? the flavor is the same only add some cocoa and stale/oxididized malt while increasing the tartness to a strange almost unpleasantly sour level. not really sure if this was intended but my guess would be not. perplexing since it is still decent... light to medium bodied and dry throughout...6/3/6/3/13/3.0
