Aug 22, 2009 Bottle. Extremely agressive when I poured it. High fluffy and long lasting ligth brown head. Pitch black body. Heavily roasted malt aroma with coffee liquorice and wood. Smooth roasted malt coffee liquorice flavour with sour notes. Low carbonation, short aftertaste.

Aug 14, 2009 Bottle at home - shared with Mette. Black - offwhite head. Licorice, light vegetables, burned, light soapy, nice hoppy, light body, chocolatem light sweetness, grainy, light nutty, roasted. Nice - but not that interesting.

Jul 25, 2009 Dark amber brown with a big and lasting white head. Rich and complex aroma of Chocolate, fruit, figs. Sweetish malty flavour with chocolate and dried fruits, a little charcoal and maybe a touch of smoke.

weird color?... orange-ish iced tea tinted brown with a small tannish film.
the nose is odd as well, coffee, brown sugar, grain, toasted nuts and an ashiness or tartness....perhaps amped up lacto?
the flavor is the same only add some cocoa and stale/oxididized malt while increasing the tartness to a strange almost unpleasantly sour level. not really sure if this was intended but my guess would be not. perplexing since it is still decent...
light to medium bodied and dry throughout...6/3/6/3/13/3.0

Jun 1, 2009 Bottle shared by hellbilly at his holiday tasting. Deep brown pour with a small tan head. Aroma of chocolate and caramel malt, coffee and brown sugar. Flavor is much the same, but slightly oxidized and sour. Still, not bad. Thanks Josh!

May 27, 2009 750ml bottle shared by hellbilly at his holiday tasting. Pours brown with zero head even though it was a gusher. The nose is brown sugar, molasses, cocoa and booze. The taste is cocoa, roasted malt and some sourness in the finish. Could be some infection in this one. Decent porter anyway. Thanks Joshua!
