Pours a dark brown out of the glass and sits a bit lighter than I would expect in a stout of this size, showing a deep copper when held up to light.
The aroma is pretty good, with lots of dark roasted malts, semi-sweet chocolate and some coffee. There are hints of lactose and oats as well.
The taste is slightly different with a fruit character that I didn’t get in the aroma. It has a slightly metallic-like aftertaste that’s not too pleasant. The chocolate becomes much more powdery with a deeply roasted malt backbone.
The mouthfeel is light bodied, almost thin and watery, with good carbonation and is extremely dry in the finish.
As an export stout, this one is decent, but it doesn’t really hold up to the majority of impy stouts out there at the same ABV. KAggie97 (2460), Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas, USA

Pours a deep, dark cola black with mahogany highlights and a nice beige head. Nose features powdered plastic chocolate cocoa, nutty roasted malt, and malt butter. Flavor is chocolate red powder, and plastic roasted malt with a coffee finish. Average mouthfeel that fails to capture the obvious complexity of the beer. Not bad, but too powdery and plastic. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 12, 2009 This 2007 bottled brew #336 from a bottle shop poured a head of fine to medium sized tan colored bubbles that were and left behind a opaque no visible carbonation dark brown colored body and a fair lacing. The mild aroma was roasted malt and dark malt. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and strongly tingly at the finish. The mild flavor contained notes of roasted malt and dark malt. A decent one that I would consider buying again. fonefan (11640), VestJylland, Denmark
