(Bottle, Monk’s Café, Wallingatan, Stockholm) Black colour with a huge, pale brown head. Malty, fruity nose with dark fruit, wild berries, dark chocolate and coffee. Stays a bit closed, but leaves very promising hints. Malty fruity taste that almost explodes on the palate with dark fruit, wild berries, coffee and dark chocolate. Slightly vinous, bittersweet finish. Full bodied with some sweetness throughout. Smooth and very well balanced considering the high abv. Impressive! Absolutely lovley stuff!

Bottle courtesy of hotstuff and thedm: Pour was dark brown with a small tan head. Nose of roasted malts and cocoa bean...nothing else. A bit thin IMO for the style. Flavor was chocolate malt with a bit of an earthy finish. Decent but kind of boring.

bottle at Ft Wayne locals tasting courtesy of thedm and hotstuff - Pours dark brown with a very thin head. It has a roast chocolate malt aroma. The flavor is full of chocolate and sweet malt with some good balancing bitterness. It’s full bodied and finishes somewhat bitter. It’s quite good though doesn’t overly impress me for an imperial stout.

Bottled at Monks Cafe, Stockholm. Pours out in an almost black colour with a large frothy, firm, dense pale brown foam. Full velvety and deep aroma of nuts, dark malts, licorice, coffee, cinnamon and crackers. Full-bodied with rich yet smooth flavours of cocoa, coffee beans, dark malts, woodsy hops and mild pepper. Long full balanced finish of nuts, spicy hops, black chocolate, mild pepper, tar and crackers. Yummy!

75 cl bottle #299-February 08-poured black w/not much head. Chocolate/coffee aroma. Kind of a standard Stout-coffee, chocolate, roasted malt...solid but I wasn’t really overwelmed by it. Nice mouthfeel, alcohol was well hidden. Could have had a little more punch/flavor to it.

Bottle. Pours black with a small, fizzy, off-white head, mostly diminishing with spare lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (molasses, burnt grain, chocolate, coffee), average hops (flowers, perfume), heavy yeast (leather) with notes of prune, wood, and tar. Full bodied, oily texture, average carbonation, and a bitter finish. Average duration, light sweetness, moderate acidity and bitterness.
