Cloudy near black, rich creamy head. Rich and lovely aroma of strawberries, licorice and tobacco. Soft and gentle, perfumy with grainy dough. Incredibly edgeless for a 10% beer with warming alcohol slowly oncreeping. Minty finish with licorice bitterness. The aroma is not powerful, there is some chocolate, but it gently develops. It has chocolate, roasted malt and caramel flavor, very well balanced and mixed together, good body, smooth mouthfeel; a touch of malted cereals is fugitive but very pleasant. Correct final bitterness, maybe with light sourness. The alcohol is very well hidden. Complex, noble, excellent.
