Smells metallic and sweet, sharp and acidic with some bread crust and citrus making appearances. Smooth, low carbonation. Nice and would have been lovely fresh, I can tell. | 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Jan 3, 2009 330ml bottle brought back from the London Drinker festival in March last year and matured in my cellar for nine months. The body has got a deep golden-brown colour with just a slight haze. Huge, frothy off-white foam slowly reduced to a filmy layer. Pleasant aroma of sweet malts and hoppy orange shells. Developing taste that starts with spiced, slightly roasted malts and continues with a touch of mandarin, oily hops and a bite of dark fruits. Delicious bittersweet ending. Rich and strong in the mouth with well integrated alcohol. A really nice winter warmer very much enjoyed on a dark and cold Friday eve up in the high north [Tromsø, 02.01.2009]. daknole (3023), Scottsdale, Arizona, USA

The aroma offers notes of praline, sugary nectar and autumn spice. Medium-bodied with nearly expired carbonation. The flavor is very nutty, moderately bitter and lightly acidic. Finishes boozy, bitter and then dry. kramer (2510), Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA
