Delicious citrus hop aroma. Beats your tongue with its uncompromising citrus hoppiness. Grapefruit dryness all over. One-sided, of course, but it does not pretend to be otherwise. It does that well and without excess alcohol. decaturstevo (1997), decatur, Tennessee, USA

Taste of citrus, grapefruits and malts, with caramel on the back. Quite hoppy. Fruity finish. Lumpy (1802), Carrollton, Texas, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Feb 1, 2009 Bottle. Body-honey, medium ring of bubbles, thin film of bubbles. Nose-big hops, grapefruit, soapy, piney. Taste-medium bitter, thin, spiky, leafy, high CO2, weird earth aftertaste. Are you a Pale Lager or a weak IPA? Make up your damn mind. Overall not very enjoyable-they took a decent Pale Lager and dumped a lot of hops into it. Blah. Schroppfy (1813), Ohio, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 20, 2009 An Amarillo clinic; incredibly fruity in the nose - like very ripe strawberries and peach, but especially honeydew melon. Taste is of citrus and grass in equal parts. Bitter. Slightly metallic. Very fresh. This beer had very heavy sediment; much remained in the bottle and much entered my glass! Nice and dark, appropriate for the style. Great lasting head. (Probably should have waited for settling but I COULD NOT). A little bready. Good. 12 oz. from bierkoning! | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 19, 2009 [33cl bottle] Cloudy, orange colour with a mid-sized, slightly off-white foamy head. Aromatic hoppy, slightly citrus-fruity nose with spicy Belgian yeasts and a light sweet cara-malty blend. Bitter flavour with a balanced malty sweetness. Dry, cara-malty taste with notes of grape-fruits and a slightly piney hops-character. Dry and bitter, subtle fruity finish. Nice liaison of American hops and Belgian yeast [22.XII.08]. Hazy dark yellow off-white head.
Some citrus hops, malt.
A bit thin but not offensive.
