Lovely beer. Aroma is smoked malts, roasted chestnuts, orange zest, coffee and dark chocolate all at once. Kinda like a German smoke beer meets a dark coffee chocoloate orange! Wow. Taste is smooth; mouth feel medium to full, good hop mesasue, intence on roasted malts, coffee and chocolate. Also some special ingredient in there but can’t think what. Really lovely. My cork shot out at at 100mph so please be careful whilst opening. Really special beer. Thank you De Molen. Thank you Cracked Kettle. WOW. PS. Very heart waming. So 0.2 extra for that.

Pours a thick syrupy black liquid with a tan head. Aroma is a bit clinical and of smoke, spices and wood. Very appealing. Taste is of smoke, wood, a bit of sausage. Has a long bitter finish. Very smooth and complex beer.

It poured a dark liquid with a small light brown foam. It had a smell of something burned and smoke, also some sourness and stingy on the noose. It had a smooth mouhfeel. It had a sweet taste of smoked ham, honey and vanilla. Decent beer but it felt a bit watered down.

Bottle. Pours a very dark ruby almost black color with a smalloff-white head. Has a roasted malty smoky chocolate aroma. Roasted malty chocolate and smoke flavor. Has a roasted malty chocolate finish with some hints of smoke in the aftertaste.

Bottled 330ml. -at In De Wildeman, Amsterdam. Dark brown (almost black) coloured, medium sized pale brown head, strong smoked nose. Roasted malt, smoke and some chocolate with notes of spices and coffee. Hint of smoked bacon in the finish. Like other De Molen beers this one is well balanced and enjoyable stout. Decent choice for my milestone. 8.2%

75 bottle at home, recently bought in ølbutikken. Very dark brown, smooth but a bit fluffy yellow brown head. nice lacings. aroma is spicy, licorice, a little smoked, flowery hoppy or perhaps slightly sour. flavor is licorice, roasted stuff, faint smoked stuff, slight salty sour note, ends hard roasted almost ashy. quite dry. rate is a bit low, the sour/salty hints in the flavor are a bit disturbing to me.
