Bottled. A ptich black beer with a lazing orangey head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, sweet malt, and smoke as well as light notes of soy sauce. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of roasted malt and some smoke, leading to a dry finish with notes of bitter chocolate. Thanks fonefan for sharing.

Bottle from Bierkoning. Dark black body with medium head. Smoked ham nose and plenty of leather. Sweet tasting with plenty of ham in the taste. Silky finish. Quite good.

75 cl bottle @ Pikkulintu. Thick tan head that deteriorates after some time. Dark reddish colour. Molasses and smoke in the aroma. Hint of sourmess in the taste accompanied with plum and smoke. Dark sugar in the aftertaste. A fine beer.

GBBF 2009. Old shoe leather. Soft and gorgeous. Hints of blood and sourness, but overall chocolate smooth and wonderful. Sweet and smokey. Stunning. I liked this a lot. I mean - a lot! I like De Molen.

Bottle. Very dark brown with a beige dense head. Aromas are smoky and woody with earthy coffee. Flavours are initially smooth chocolate followed by bitter roast coffee. More coffee bean bitterness follows with some dark chocolate. Lightly smoky with woody notes and some metal on the aftertaste. Better than I managed to describe.
