Bottle at GBBF who knows where this came from. Alround rating: Plasticy, really meaty, thats sort of roasted sweetness that makes it appealing. A decent smoked, but perhaps could do without the peated malt.

Botella. Nice black colour with a creamish head. Lovely roasty yeasty smoky liquorice aroma. Great mouthfeel. The flavour has a good roasted maltiness with smoke, dark fruits, some chocolate and a pleasant bitterness. Thanks Jan/Charlotte for putting this brew on the table.

TFODRBSG08 Courtesy of Fonefan. It’s black with a creamy head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, smoke and a little licorice. The flavour has a light sweetness, that is just right IMO, because I do not like too sweet smoked beers. It has notes of smoke, licorice, roasted malt and chocolate. The finish has a light sweetness and a slightly roasted bitterness. The balance is superb and it unites the smoked and the stout in a perfect way. A very worthy # 4000 for me here on RateBeer.

Bottle@Home. Aroma is smoked, peaty and has blackcurrant in ti. Opaque color, light brown head, good lace. Sweet, fruity sourness, pretty bitter, hints of cherry and black currant, peaty. Long lasting smoked finish, well balanced.

33cl bottle from De Bierkoning. Dark brown/black beer, tan head. Strong aroma of glue, peat, smoke, coffee, alcohol. Flavour is peaty roasted malts, sweet, coffeebitter background, some liquorice and alcohol. Medium to fullbodied, creamy mouthfeel. Lingering coffee bitter finish. Very tasty beer.

Bottle thanks to Hugh at GBBF. Black colour. Smoky, almost Islay cassk TCP aroma, although really it is just very peaty. Really good base beer, lovely and full in mouth, lovely dark malts, but there is that peaty flavour on aroma and finish, which anyone who knows me will know I am not a big fan of. Base beer is superb.

Bottled. Deep dark brown color. Licorice and peat in the aroma. Malty sweetish, earthy hopbitter flavor with Assam tea, peat and licorice. Tarry earthy aftertaste. Satisfyingly balanced, maybe a bit too sweet for this type of brew. 7 4 7 3 14 = 3.5 From tap @ the brewery: Dark chocolate and cream in the aroma. Malty sweet, peaty flavor. Creamy mouthfeel. Hints of butterscotch and dark chocolate. Long roastbitter but especially peaty finish. Somewhat sticky mouthfeel. Well balanced but still a bit green. 8 4 8 4 14 = 3.8

Bottled. Dark color, short head. Aroma of pur foam, burned wood, ash, peat, malt. Dry wood taste, malt, bit bitter. Bitterish palate. Bit too sharp for me.
